Oh- not saying I'd buy these (I just spent 200 dollars- whew!!)
you could probably get
$75 for AGT
and
$199 for Kailey
Okay, I'm trying to make my collection smaller, and I have a few extra dolls that I never really play with...and I was wondering, how much would you pay for each of these dolls? (I'm NOT selling these yet!)
-A PM early 1996 AGT (Blonde hair, green eyes, light skin) In pristine condition. Hair is still silky soft. Body tag says "Made in Germany for Pleasant Company" No silver eye or anything (although I don't know if that happens in green eyed dolls) and her arm and leg joints are intact. I am the original owner.
-Kailey, purchased right when she came out. No clothes and her hair is not in the original braids but its in perfect condition. Her vinyl is great and arms and legs are intact. Has the Mattel side tag. I am the original owner.
How much would you pay for each one? Just wondering, I'm trying to see how much I could get. Thanks so much

Only $75 for the AGT? Shes PM and in perfect condition and for less than a brand new Mattel doll? Hmmm...I think maybe I would ask for a bit more...not sure.
I would say anywhere from $75 to $100 for the AGOT,and $175 to $200 for Kailey
Those prices sound about right from what I've observed on ebay lately.
Happy Selling!
Faith
I would definitely go with around $200 for Kailey. But I would keep the AGoT at $75 to start. You can begin the bidding there and then maybe offer a BIN for $90. Since she is just an AGoT and not a historical PM doll, I think people care less about the difference. Your best bet I would think is to offer it up for $75 to start and hope some people get caught up in a bidding war to jack the price up. Otherise, if you start it any higher I really dont know if people will bother. I dont think a PM AGoT is anything really special. There are lots of different AGTs floating around out there. But then, I could be wrong.
If I were listing these dolls on ebay, I would start at about 9.99 for the AGT--a low starting price generates lots of interest, and after people have had them on their watch lists awhile, they get attached, are willing to bid more. When an item begins at a price too close to the final price, many people (including me) will just skip over that auction, as starting too high. Especially this time of year, I think you can trust the bidders to arrive at the "right price"--I've bought most of my collection from ebay, so I'm just speaking from my own experience.
Also, if they come without clothes, you can't expect to get as much for them as you would if they came dressed, or with an outfit that included the shoes. (If someone wants a doll for a gift, they are more likely to buy one already dressed, so they don't have to look for clothes or shoes for it--it's all ready to wrap as a gift!)
Just my humble opinion.
I agree with AsianAG. It does seem as though people are more willing to bid and keep bidding when the starting price is low. Think about it: When you see a lot of retired AG outfits with a starting price of $0.99, they end up selling for MUCH more than that! For Kailey, if her hair is in mint condition (I thought you said that her hair was a wreck?), but she doesn't come with clothes, then I'd say, for this time of year, you could probably get around $150-$175 for her. Sorry, but the prices on Kailey seem to be dropping. I am currently watching a bunch of them, and the ones with clothes and mint condition hair are going for between $150 and $175. For the AGT, you might be able to get about full price for her, but like others have said, people don't seem to care as much about PM AGT's as they do about PM historicals. The differences aren't as noticeable. I'd start Kailey and the AGT at somthing like $9.99, and for Kailey, maybe have a reserve of $150, and a BIN of $175. For the AGT, maybe have a reserve of $60, and a BIN of $90. Just my opinion . Good luck if you decide to sell either of them!
